Hi. My dog, Brandy, is no longer with us.
She was sick for a while. Back in the USA she struggled with eating, and her symptoms became worse here. Recently she seemed to be living with pain. We had to make a difficult decision, and consulted 3 veterinarians, including Brandy's former vet in America. They all believed euthanasia was a humane option.
We've been crying a lot. Today I feel clear-headed enough to write this post. We gave her the best life we could, and probably spoiled her too. She was born during the Covid lockdown, and definitely had "behavioral challenges" regarding other humans. I spent hours training her, with some success, and I'm proud of this.
I want to write more, but not today.
